Reporting

Reports in PaperCut ChargeBack come in two main categories:

  • Standard Reports

    Standard reports are always available via the Reports tab, and provide the most commonly used and requested reports. Each standard report provides the same functionality every time it is run, so they are consistent when compared over time, and can be run over any date range.

  • Ad-Hoc Reports

    Ad-hoc reports are available via controls at the bottom of any print log table (e.g. the print logs for a user, for a printer, for all printers, etc.). Ad-hoc reports take account of any filter options that have been applied to the data shown. For example, the Print Log table can be filtered to show only print jobs that were denied because the user had run out of credit. Ad-hoc reports can also apply additional rules to the data in order to create the report - this allows for many, many different report combinations.

  • Show information for all printers or a subset
  • Use the information to see if your printers are being used effectively. Do you have an A3 printer that is only being used for A4? Perhaps an A4 only printer would be better suited
  • See how many users are printing duplex documents. Do they need more encouragement to do so? Apply a discount for duplex documents!
